OneLogin Desktop 3.0 for Mac
We released a new version of Desktop for Macs, OneLogin Desktop 3.0. The latest version of OneLogin Desktop for Mac offers the following enhancements: Full or Basic install options, a new Trap app, and a Silent Installer that enables admins to push desktop to multiple machines.
OneLogin Desktop Basic is an enhancement your users and admins will love. The unique feature specific to OneLogin Desktop Basic is that a computer can function as a kiosk, allowing multiple users to access the OneLogin Portal and OneLogin managed apps at different times. Users aren't bound to one device and can log in to any available computer with OneLogin Desktop Basic installed. Essentially, one machine can act as a terminal for multiple users. Users log in and out of OneLogin using the Trap App.
For more information about a Basic install, see OneLogin Desktop Basic.
The OneLogin Desktop Full install is similar to version 2, users can log in to their Mac using OneLogin credentials and a certificate installed in their keychain to provide authentication to access their OneLogin portal page and SSO-enabled apps. In other words, they log in once to their Mac and go straight to their OneLogin portal or SSO-enabled apps without providing credentials again. The Tray app is included with a Full install, it allows users to generate a new certificate.
For more information about a Full install, see OneLogin Desktop Full.
If you want a computer to function as a kiosk, the Tray App allows users to conveniently sign in and out of OneLogin Desktop Basic. Full and Basic users can use the Tray App to generate a new certificate, as needed.
For more information about the Tray App, see Tray App.
The Silent Installer allows admins to push OneLogin Desktop 3.0 for Mac to multiple machines. Bascially, the Silent Installer script allows admins to leverage command line input to install OneLogin Desktop 3.0 using the Terminal.
For more information about the silent installer, see Silent Installer.
