I'm trying to get onelogin working with a cross section of our internal apps on a bunch of different platforms.
I've been able to get the php example (which I was directed to) running but am now focusing on our biggest need which is .Net.
There is a .Net example referenced in the docs. However, when looking at the code, it is years old and even the README says not to use it. Instead, it points to several different SAML libraries. This is great, except it doesn't recommend which actually currently works with OneLogin. The free recommendations are
- OIOSAML - documented in Danish, not updated since 2015, seems to have been superceded by Saml2
- ITfoxtec - low on documentation, hasn't been updated in a while, and the developer is unresponsive
- Owin.Security.Saml - documentation doesn't actually work, team has been unresponsive for over a year including open pull requests and a bunch of issues
- Kentor - promising, but uses concepts such as "discovery service" that are not mentioned anywhere else...
The problem seems to be that OneLogin actually developed a library for php, whereas for .net they just point you at some lower level libraries (which as best as I can tell they don't control nor keep an eye on) and tell you to go nuts.
So hence my question - is there any actually working examples of this stuff?
At the moment I'm two days in, super frustrated, and wondering what exactly we're paying for.
